Giving Priorities

At this crucial time for American higher education, we have the opportunity, the responsibility, the privilege, and the drive to come together to create a model living and learning environment. Philanthropic investment is already making our vision a reality. With your help, Morris will build on this momentum to:

Provide life-changing student experiences

  • Create scholarship opportunities for 400 more students
  • Create employment opportunities that will enrich the academic experience
  • Enhance opportunities including study abroad, undergraduate research, and service learning

Inspire established and emerging faculty leaders

  • Endow five new professorships in areas such as: Rural studies, Entrepreneurial studies, Environmental studies, and Native American and Indigenous studies.

Revitalize our historic campus

  • Expand and improve our physical space to support the student experience, faculty research, and regional outreach

Direct our region toward a brighter future

  • Create an endowed fund to support the EcoStation program and EcoCenter facilities in conducting environmental education, research, and preservation in the west central region
  • Create student education, research, and employment opportunities
  • Build indoor and outdoor laboratory spaces for teaching and learning
  • Foster outreach and collaboration with other University and regional partners
